Technology innovation no more affords the indulgences of unlimited pockets and endless blue-sky debates. Faced with shrinking budgets and ever-changing macro trends, enterprises are waking up to the reality that a big bang approach is no longer the “one-size-fits-all” answer. In this scenario, Ignitho’s frugal approach to technology innovation is fast emerging as a practical and hugely more plausible alternative.

Early movers are already working with Ignitho to reap the rewards of Frugal Innovation methodologies applied to technology innovation within the enterprise – an area where Ignitho has established itself as the market leader and disruptive frontrunner.

The essence of Ignitho’s Frugal Innovation model lies in bringing to enterprises the ability to start small and deliver quick outcomes on limited budgets – or how to do more with less! Collaborating on methodology with a world-renowned professor from Cambridge University, Ignitho deploys a Rapid Application Development and Scalable IT Solutions approach to take enterprises from ambition to success in the digital economy. Ignitho ideates with enterprises on the “Art of the Possible”, but works with them on a solution roadmap that makes it the “Art of the Achievable”. Ignitho’s Frugal Innovation model is finding huge resonance particular among UK enterprises.

As a frontrunner in bringing the concept of Frugal Technology Innovation to UK enterprises, Ignitho is partnering with the University of Cambridge and The Nordic Frugal Innovation Society to co-host the UK’s first conference on Frugal Innovation – Innofrugal UK. The day-long event will be held at the University of Cambridge on March 27th, 2018.

InnoFrugal UK builds on earlier editions of the highly successful conference held yearly in the Nordics and will cover topics such as Introducing Frugal Innovation for Enterprises, how the Circular Economy and Frugal Innovation can complement and enable one another, and Success Stories from the early flagbearers of Frugal Innovation in the enterprise and public sectors.

Apart from expert led workshops and panel discussions, the event will allow for ample time and proper avenues for networking for all attendees.

Quotes from Keynote Speakers

“It is a great pleasure to be hosting the 1st Edition of Innofrugal UK at Cambridge Judge Business School. After being a regular speaker and attendee of InnoFrugal Nordics, I am delighted that we are now able to extend the franchise to include the UK and do that in partnership with Ignitho Technologies who are doing so much to stimulate frugal innovation in the UK.” – Jaideep Prabhu, Professor, Judge Business School – University of Cambridge.

“We at Cambridge Judge Business School and the Circular Economy Centre are delighted to host the inaugural InnoFrugal UK conference, on 27th March in Cambridge alongside partners Ignitho Technologies and The Nordic Frugal Innovation Society. The concept of Circular Economy is certainly highly topical on policy and corporate agendas at the moment and compliments ideas surrounding Frugal Innovation perfectly. We will be discussing the latest findings in our research at the Circular Economy Centre and how we can promote the adoption of Circular Economy principles globally to affect a positive change in business modelling.” – Khaled Soufani Director of the Executive MBA Programme, Director of the Circular Economy Centre (CEC), Cambridge Judge Business School.

“The Nordic Frugal Innovation Society’s inspiration to start & continue InnoFrugal annual conference in Helsinki since 2015 was primarily because of the following: not enough quality, accessible, affordable, sustainable solutions for B2B & B2C in emerging markets; future need for similar solutions in Europe because of ageing societies, jobless growth, environmental constraints etc; reading Jugaad Innovation and later Frugal innovation books by Jaideep Prabhu and Navi Radjou. So, I am very happy to see that InnoFrugal UK will mark its 1st edition at Judge Business School at Cambridge University on March 27, 2018 together with Ignitho Technologies. Looking forward to changing mindsets, adding skillsets and realizing the Sustainable Development Goals via InnoFrugal UK as well!” – Venkata Gandikota, Founder – The Nordic Frugal Innovation Society.
